By PickyI’m Asian and eat rice every day. After reading lots of customer reviews, I decided to buy one, which was expensive comparing to other rice cookers (My older one was $20 bucks from Walmart). I’ve used it for one and half years (almost everyday, just except a few days when I travelled or was on vacation) and never got any problem. It always did a great job.
I used it to prepare white rice, brown rice, Gaba brown rice and porridge. It’s just amazing. It did make a big difference with the exactly same rice I used for my old rice cooker. Same rice, but cooked so great and the taste was fantastic. I’m sure I will never switch back to a $20 bucks rice cooker.
A fly in the ointment, however, is the craftsmanship of this rice cooker is not the best (if you compare it to other Japanese brands). So I take one star off.

I have cooked brown & white rice with no problems. My favorite is making my favorite rice pudding using brown rice and comes out delicious. I like the little music it makes make your rice is finished.
I had bought this to replace the larger Zojirushi Rice cooker, because I dropped it and broke the lid. My error. I like that this one is more compact and makes just enough rice for our family of four.
If it broke today, I’d buy another.

I have now owned this for several months and have used it repeatedly so it is time to write my review. I am rating this product a solid 4 stars. This rice cooker makes excellent rice.
What I love about this machine:
1 It makes great rice (2 cups of white rice takes approximately 45 minutes
2 It is very attractive
3 Seems well made
4 Best brown riceWhat I don’t love so much:
1 Not very flexible – only makes rice
2 No retractable plug
3 Cheap and flimsy looking paddle holder that you have to attach – why aren’t the holders built into the machine at this price level?
4 The ‘music’ it plays when you turn it on and when the rice is done is too girly – just give me some nice ‘beeps’ I can hear even if I’m in the other room.
